Roulette is one of the oldest and most exciting games to play.  It has always been much more popular in Europe than it has been in the United States. Online rules for French roulette vary from casino to casino.  Some offer the “La Partage” or “En Prison” rules. These are rules that apply to outside bets only.  In the traditional game, when the ball lands in the zero or double zero slots, the players lose their bets. The “La Partage” returns half of the bet to the player.  With the “En Prison” rule the bets are held until the next spin.  If the bets are winning bets, the bet is returned to the player. In this case he isn’t hurt by the zeros.  If the bets are not winning bets, they are not returned.

Both of these rules lower the house advantage for the player. Players should look for these variations.
